What are the steps to avoid being manually banned by Valve?
  • Do not play with known actors like YouTubers, Streamers, and Valve Employees in your game.
  • Do not live stream your game on Twitch or YouTube. These have been watched by Valve recently.
  • Do not join or be in cheating Steam groups. Steam moderators will review these groups, and your account will be reviewed for any 'bad actor' activities.
  • Do not have images of 'cheats' or 'hacks' visible on your profile.
Will all of my accounts get banned?
From what it looks like, only people who hosted bots received this punishment, so I wouldn't be worried about it.
Is Valve Hardware banning people now?
Valve has always had the function of 'hardware banning' people. These bans seemed to only apply to those who've hosted bots.
